CECILE PAPINEAU Peacefully, with her family by her side, on January 15, 2006, Cecile Papineau (nee Sabourin), at the age of 83 passed away at Victoria Hospital. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Roland Papineau, and her six children, Therese (Maurice), Ulysse (Freida), Arthur (Ginette), Denis, Yvon, and Patricia (Brian); as well as 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Yvonne, and son Lionel. As well as her sister Agathe, and her three brothers Arthur, Leo, and Camille. Cecile was born in St. Jean Baptiste on February 9, 1922, the eldest of 10 children. She took great pleasure in camping, playing cards but her greatest joy was receiving her children, grandchildren, and relatives with open arms. She will be greatly missed by all. A special thanks goes out to the staff of Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care. Prayers will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19 at St. Norbert Catholic Church, 80 rue Saint-Pierre. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9.
