THEODORE (TED) HODGES JR. On January 11, 2006 Theodore (Ted) Hodges Jr. left us after suffering a heart attack. He is sadly missed and mourned by his wife Edna Taverner-Hodges; step-children, Robert Presma, Tiffaney Taverner and Shalomarr Dorey (nee Taverner). Born the eldest of three children by Alberta Hodges (nee Strayhorn) and T. R. Hodges Sr. on December 27, 1942 in New Burne, NC, he is survived by his siblings Melvin and Dorothy Hodges. He graduated from J T Barber HS in 1961 and worked for the Maola milk company in NC before joining the US Airforce. He saw Puerto Rico and Grand Forks as an MP. Discharged 1968 he worked as head of the banquet facilities for the Northwest Hotel for several years and later for the HSC. He retired in 1993 due to health reasons. He married Sally Ann Presma December 31, 1982. She passed from cancer in October 1988. He married his current wife Edna on November 16, 1990. He will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others whenever he could. He never refused to be there when he was asked. He has always carried on no matter how hard things got and kept his sense of humour and courage. He will be sorely missed and remembered by all who knew him. All family and friends are invited to a memorial service being held at Knysh Funeral Home - 1020 Main St, Winnipeg, MB at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 23.
