Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES BRAUNSTEIN (nee GOLDSTONE) Frances died peacefully on January 7, 2006 at the age of 95 in the Kanee Center of the Sharon Home where she had lived for the past six years. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Elaine and her husband Dr. David, and by siblings Mitchell, Al, Barbara, Clara and Elsie. Frances was born in Russia, the youngest of six children, and she immigrated to Winnipeg with her family at the age of two. She married David Braunstein in 1937. They spent many years of their married life in rural Saskatchewan and Manitoba (mainly in Binscarth) where David practiced as a family physician and Frances acted as his support. In 1955, after the tragic death of their daughter, they moved to Winnipeg, where Frances lived until her passing. She was known to many for her love and dedication to her family, her bright blue eyes, her enjoyment of walking and her fried chicken. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Terry (Andrea) and Ron (Sue), her grandchildren Lisa and Dave Woogman, Danny and Amy Braunstein and Jonathan (Megan), Amy and David Braunstein, as well as great-grandchildren Noah, Breanne, Ella and Sophie. At this time the family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her special companions Minda, Gertrude and Lilly and to the entire staff at the Kanee Centre for their compassion and care. Please make any donations to a charity of your choice.
