Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL SEMANYCH Peacefully, on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital, Michael Semanych, aged 82 years, beloved husband of Stefania. Michael was born August 29, 1923 in the village of Beniowa, Western Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada in 1950 and was employed with Westeel-Rosco until his retirement in 1988. Michael was a member of the MYN-Youth Organization at the Ukrainian National Federation and held various executive positions on the UNF, UNF Club, UNF Camp Rusalka, Carpathia Credit Union, COOP Kalyna, Ukrainian Canadian Congress, and the Ukrainian Cultural and Education Centre. He was also a member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral. Besides his beloved wife Stefania, Michael leaves to cherish his memory his stepsons, William, Igor, and Jerry Zahynacz and their families. In Ukraine, he also leaves his brothers, Yosyf, Dmytro, and Ivan and their families. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 3 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
