CORDELLIA (CORA) ROSCOE (nee BJORNSON) Cora peacefully closed her eyes and went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2006 at the age of 97. She was preceded by her husband Bill; and her son Brian. Cora will be dearly missed by her son Terry; her grandchildren, Liam, Brett and his wife Joo-young, Sean, Kyle, Anna; by Gayle and Dave; and by her other relatives and friends. Cora would sometimes speak with pride of her memories of her mother. She remembered her mother dressing up and going to church every Sunday with an offering ready for the plate. This faithfulness and giving is characteristic of Cora's life. She continually sought ways to give to others. In her spare time, for instance, she would crochet afghans and other articles to give to family and friends, and she continued this practice even when she expected a soon death. When she could no longer live on her own she crocheted for the nurses and doctors she met. As long as her hands were working, Cora used them for others. Her hands will remain in our memory long after her face fades away. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at West Park Manor and Joselyn House for the care they showed, as well as the Elim Chapel family, who have prayed for and supported Cora throughout the years. There will be a public viewing on Tuesday, February 7 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance.
