DEBORAH LYNNE HEWAK Suddenly, on February 3, 2006, at her home, Deborah Lynne Hewak (Deb or Debbie), passed away at the age of 46. Heaven grew brighter as our world grew dim. With broken hearts and sadness, we will deeply miss our daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend. Debbie was predeceased by both sets of grandparents and left to mourn this great loss is her father, Ben (Mona); mother, Gerry (Rod); sister, Donna (Garry) and beloved nephew Nicholas ( Nephew Nick ), whom she loved dearly; sister Darcy (Keith); uncle, Wally and many other cherished relatives and friends. She will also be greatly missed by her loyal companion, her cat Kuzie, whom she adored. Debbie was born on September 3, 1959 in Winnipeg. She attended Garden City High School and worked at several jobs, including the Manitoba Judicial System and the Holy Family Nursing Home, to name a few. One of Deb's passions was volunteering with various charity organizations. She helped fundraise with the MS Society of Manitoba and also with the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba. She was also endeared and committed to the safety and welfare of all our precious animals. Debbie had two requests. One was to be cremated and buried with her Baba and that has taken place at a private family ceremony. Her second request was to be surrounded by all of her loved ones, to remember happier times spent together. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little - but not too long, And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone, It's part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. So when you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me - but let me go. Debbie, you are in the Lord's house now, but you remain in all of our hearts forever. You will be terribly missed every day. We love you. xoxo. A memorial service for Debbie will be held on Friday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. The family invites all those that wish to share in her memory. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family Nursing Home or to the Seven Oaks Hospital, Dialysis Unit. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 Main St. 338-7111
