After a long battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She will be greatly missed. She is predeceased by her mother Felomina (nee Anastacio) and father Jose Garcia. She is survived by brother Felino (Betty) Garcia; sister Nony (Rudy) Cordoviz; sister Annie (Manuel) Banez; sister Casimira (Nap) Alip; brother Ernesto Garcia; sister Angelita (Oliver) Bal-ot; and many cousins, nephews and nieces. A special thank you to all the doctors and nurses in Surrey Palliative Homecare in B.C. for all the wonderful care they gave. Lamay will be held on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A funeral service in Olympia's honour will be held on Monday, February 13, 11:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
