DOROTHY KOEBEL On February 15, 2006 at Victoria Hospital. Dorothy was born in Winnipeg in 1916 and lived her entire life here. Dorothy was an accomplished musician who played piano, organ, accordion, guitar and electric guitar. Music was the love of her life. Dorothy was an underwriter for Great West Life for more than 25 years. Upon retirement, she remained active with her music, including the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre Glee Club and The Naturals Orchestra with many performances in nursing homes throughout Winnipeg. She enjoyed volunteer work with the children at Lord Roberts Elementary School. She was a devoted member of Churchill Park United Church for many years. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Sylvester and Maude. She will be sadly missed by many friends and especially her pal Jinx. A memorial service will be held at Churchill United Church, 525 Beresford Ave. on Wednesday, February 22 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
