Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA D'AMICO Peacefully on February 24, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 88, Ida D'Amico passed away. Ida was predeceased by her loving husband Luigi. Ida leaves to cherish in her memory her two daughters, Teresa Caligiuri and husband Dominic; Raffaelina Loschiavo and husband Raffaele; her beloved and cherished granddaughters, Angie (Sam), Ida, Daniela (Keith) and Starlene (Wayne); her precious great-grandchildren, Jared, Matthew, Danika, Nicolas, Lucas and Dessya and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ida was born October 7, 1917 in Amato, Italy. She came to Canada in 1957 to join her husband. Her greatest love was her family. She was a caring and thoughtful person who took pleasure in putting the needs of others before her own. Pallbearers will be Sam Russo Introito, Keith Holliday, Wayne Mosienko, Dominic D'Amico, Gabriel D'Amico, Pino Guzzo, Saverio Masi and Saverio Loschiavo. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church 510 River Ave., with Fr. Sam Argenziano celebrant. Entombment to follow at Assumption Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lung Association or Cancer Care Manitoba Don't think of her as gone away her journey's just began life holds so many facets this earth is only one... Just think of her as resting From the sorrows and the tears in a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing That we could know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In hearts of those she touched... For nothing loved is ever lost And she was loved so much.
