FATIMA CHEBIB (nee CHEBIB) Fatima Chebib (nee Chebib), passed on peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, on Monday, February 27, 2006. Fatima will be deeply missed by her daughters: Laila of Winnipeg, Maya of Montreal, Saba of Damascus, their husbands Dr. Farouk Chebib, Mamoun Chebib, and Muhammad Homsi, all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as all the rest of the family and friends whom she dearly loved. Prayer for Fatima will be held on Wednesday, March 1st, 2006, after the noon prayers at one o'clock at the Manitoba Islamic Center Mosque, 247 Hazelwood Avenue, Winnipeg, followed by the burial at the Islamic cemetery at Glenlawn Memorial, Hwy 20 in front of the Mint. Instead of flowers donations are accepted for the new mosque at Manitoba Islamic Centre (R2M 4W1) or to her favourite Butterfly Garden in Assiniboine Park will be greatly appreciated.
