JOANNE (JOEY) IRENE BOURDAGES (nee NOONAN) Peacefully and with dignity, Joey, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on February 25, 2006 at Seven Oaks Hospital. She is survived by her daughters Lise and Micheline, granddaughters Jordyne, Kelsi and her pride and joy, great-grandson Cody, sisters Peggy Vincent Rosemary (Jake) Waldner, brothers Tom (Lynn) Noonan, Kevin (Daphne) Noonan of Calgary, AB, brother-in-law Harvey Chezick, cousin Richard Young, and many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Stonewall, MB on July 29, 1937 where she grew up and later moved to Northern Ontario where she met the love of her life Roger. They were married and together raised their two girls Lise and Micheline in Montreal. In 1967, she relocated with her daughters and here in Winnipeg is where she would remain and call home. Mom was a very hard worker, employed by Joyce's Grill and the Continental Hotel for many years until her retirement in 1990. Mom's real passions were first and foremost her girls, granddaughters, and great-grandson. She loved going to the cottage with Auntie Pat, reading, watching old black and white movies, and sharing special moments with her best friend Dorothy while doing ceramics. Special thanks for the care and compassion of the staff on the 5th floor at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare MB. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Thank you Mom for all you have given us, and taught us. The importance of family, love, generosity, and kindness to others. The last gift of love is Remembrance.
