GEORGINA CECILE EDWARDS August 19, 1942 March 4, 2006 After a long illness, Georgina died peacefully on March 4, 2006 with her family by her side at Seven Oaks Hospital. Georgina is survived by her husband Rod; daughters, Shelley (Helmut) Bergen, Marla (Cory) Nicholson; son Gregory (Marsharee Lindsay) Edwards and four grandchildren, Daniel, Keli, Jordyn and Ashly. A devoted wife and mother, Georgina had a wide circle of friends who were very special to her. Her philosophy was eloquently described in a poem she wrote during an illness that lasted almost 15 years, but never weakened her love for family and friends. BLESSINGS As I look down the road of life, Sometimes filled with pain and strife, I put the good ahead of bad and Think of all the blessings I've had. The love of a great Mom and Dad, Brothers and sisters, the best one could have. Growing up with family and friends, Who knew what lies beyond the bend? A husband to hold and love at night. Three children to light up my life, Grandchildren with stars in their eyes, To love more and more as years go by, So I count my blessings late at night, And in my heart I hold them tight. The family thanks A4 and ICU staff at HSC and staff of 3U7 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Garden Park Baptist Church, 1825 Inkster Blvd. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy 668-3151
