LAURENT JOSEPH YOUVILLE BRADET Entouré de ses enfants, ses petits enfants, et le père Ronald Léger, Laurent est décédé paisiblement le 11 mars 2006 à l'Hôpital général St-Boniface. Il venait de célébrer ses 79 ans le jour auparavant. Laurent est né le 10 mars 1927 à St-Méthode dans la région du Lac St-Jean (Québec). Il quitta la province de Québec pour l'Ontario à l'âge d'environ 18 ans où il servait comme ingénieur dans les forces armées canadiennes. Quelque temps plus tard il se dirige dans l'Ouest, au Manitoba, où il recontra et épousa Constance (née Gareau). Laurent était employé du Canadien national pendant 30 ans. A sa retraite il bâtissait son logement de rêve sur la rivière Winnipeg à Great Falls, Manitoba où il a pu jouir d'une belle vie en nature durant plusieurs années. Il aimait sa pêche et sa chasse ainsi que de soigner ses oiseaux. Laurent était aimé et apprécié par tous ceux et celles de sa petite communauté de Winnipeg River Drive. Laurent rejoint son pére Lorenzo Bradet et sa mère Léontine Leclerc ainsi que plusieurs soeurs et frères qui l'ont précédé. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Constance, sa fille Michelle (Robert Tapper), ses fils Guy (Rachel), Marc, Jacques (Joanne Coulombe), et Gilbert ainsi que ses petits enfants Céleste, Joël, Danielle, Elliot et Meredith. Les funérailles auront lieu le mercredi 15 mars 2006 à 10h30 à la Paroisse du Précieux-Sang, 200 rue Kenny, Winnipeg, MB. Un gouter sera servit suivant la célébration. La famille désire remercier tout le personnel du Centre Taché qui a si bien accueilli Laurent durant son séjour au foyer. LAURENT JOSEPH YOUVILLE BRADET Laurent passed away peacefully with his children and grandchildren at his side on March 11, 2006. He had celebrated his 79th birthday the day earlier. Laurent was born March 10, 1927 at St. Methode, in the Lac St. Jean region (Province of Quebec). He left his home province at the age of 18 to join the Canadian Armed Forces in the engineering corp. at Pittawawa, ON. Later he ventured further west where he met and married Constance (Gareau) and settled down in Winnipeg. Laurent worked for 30 years at Canadian National Railway. When he retired he built his dream home near Great Falls, MB on the Winnipeg River. He lived several years in the nature he loved so much and enjoyed his hunting, fishing and taking care of his birds. He was well appreciated by his community of Winnipeg River Drive where anyone could always count on Laurent to help them out. Laurent joins his father Lorenzo Bradet, his mother Leontine Leclerc as well as several brothers and sisters who have preceded him. He leaves to grieve his wife Constance; daughter Michelle (Robert Tapper); sons, Guy (Rachel), Marc, Jacques (Joanne Coulombe) and Gilbert. Others who will miss him are his five grandchildren, Celeste, Joel, Danielle, Elliot and Meredith. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at the parish of Precieux-Sang, 200 Kenny St. A luncheon will be served following the funeral. The family extends its thanks and its heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Tache Centre where Laurent truly enjoyed the latter part of his life.
