ZITA BOSINSKI (nee SANKTJOHANSER) (1914 - 2006) Peacefully, with her children by her side, Zita passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at age 91. Zita was born in Truchtlaching, Bavaria (near Munich, Germany) on November 8, 1914, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1929. She married William Bosinski in 1934 and they farmed in the Alpine District (MB) for 35 years. They retired to Swan River. After William passed in 1995, she moved to St. James Kiwanis Courts in Winnipeg. Left to celebrate her memory are her children, Flora (Rae Miller), Edna (Norm Pohl) and Margaret (Wayne Young), as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Zita treasured her family, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, flowers, nature and loved music. Card games and social activities with friends and family kept her young, vibrant and independent. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Macek and staff of 3 West, Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice. A celebration of Zita's life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2:30 p.m., at the St. James Kiwanis Club, 90 Sinawik Bay. Interment of ashes will take place in Swan River at a later date.
