Together with her husband they farmed in the Winnipeg Beach area for 25 years. She moved to Winnipeg in 1965 and was employed with the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, until her retirement in 1977. Her retirement years were spent enjoying her garden and looking after her loving cats and dogs. Her days were often highlighted by visits from numerous family and neighbours.
