Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Wilf and I often covered the same stories as I worked for BN and CP. I only found out about his passing this week. We enjoyed each other's company and were both avid runners and discussed sports. I just found a picture of us covering the release of David Milgaard from prison, it is a screen grab from the documentary on the Tragically Hip. Email me and I'll send a copy to you. • I was just talking to an old friend about the co-op stint I did at CFRW Radio in 1986 through Oak Park High School. I looked Wilf up and was saddened to hear that he had passed several years ago. I had the pleasure to work alongside Wilf during this time. Going to Jets practices and an interview with Donny Lalonde were a couple of many memorable moments I had. Wilf helped me tremendously during my time there and although I deviated from my sportscasting path I was very grateful for all the help Mr. Braun gave me during my time there. My late condolences to the Braun family. - Posted by: Scott Green (CFRW Colleague) on: Nov 27, 2022

  • I worked with Wilf in Winnipeg at what used to be the "A-Channel" -- My first TV job! Wilf was one of those guys who was really funny, knew how to have a good time at work but at the same time keep you on your toes! Trust me, I've gone from laughing with Wilf to busting my butt at work in a matter of minutes!! He was truly a good man with a warm heart. Wilf, I pray your soul rests in eternal peace. - Posted by: Husein Madhavji (Co-Worker) on: May 05, 2006
