MICHAEL HARRY JOHN BOYCE Peacefully, on June 27, 2006, Michael Harry John Boyce passed away. He was predeceased by his parents, mother Adeline and father Harry Boyce. He is survived by his daughter Jennifer (husband Greg) Schroeder and their two daughters, Kyra and Courtney, his son Shawn Boyce and his son Ryan. Also survived by his children's mother Pat Boyce and he also leaves behind his beloved dog Lady Boyce, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael was born on September 24, 1947, growing up in Winnipeg and spent many happy summers at the cottage in Grand Marias. One of his first jobs was as an Air Craft Machinist at Bristol Aerospace. In 1971, he moved to Vancouver working on the tugboats, which he loved. Michael's daughter Jennifer was born in Vancouver, upon returning to Winnipeg, his son Shawn was born. Michael and his dad Harry started Boyce Painting and happily worked together until Harry's passing. Michael continued the business until a workplace accident forced him to retire in 1992. He had a love of all things associated with cars. Michael was also a great animal lover, with his various special pets throughout his life. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 252 Osborne. In the last few years, he was able to travel to England to visit the family of his late business partner Jeff Bacon; which he was excited to do. He also took up new hobbies such as computers and model vehicles. He was very proud of his grandchildren and all their accomplishments, along with his huge circle of friends and family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
