Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARL BOLBECHER On the morning of August 29, 2006, Carl Bolbecher passed away peacefully at St. Boniface hospital at the age of 80 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife Martha; his daughters, Karin, Ingrid and Anita (Brad); his sister Anne (Bob); his grandchildren, Christine, Michael, Adam and Lindsay; as well as by a large extended family including his stepchildren, Peter, Chris (Rainer), Martin and John; his stepgrandchild Lori (Brian) and his step-great-grandchildren, Tanner, Carter and Andrew. He was predeceased by his first wife Irene in 1986. Carl was born June 8, 1926 in Weisskirchen (then Yugoslavia) to Josefine Weiss and Karl Bolbecher. He trained as a teacher before immigrating to Canada in 1949. There he met and married his first wife Irene in 1950 with whom he had his three daughters. He worked for many years in Winnipeg as an electrician with CN and was actively involved in the community. He was a member of the German Society, belonged to the Germania soccer club, enjoyed performing with their theatre group and sang for 25 years with the German Choir. In his later years, he was involved with the Kolping Society and the Church Choir. Carl's sense of humour and enthusiasm for life warmed all those who knew him. He travelled widely and loved the outdoors, particularly enjoying his summers at Lac du Bonnet and Camp Neustadt. He especially liked fishing at Lac Du Bonnet with Anita, Christine and Michael. He loved to read, to listen to music and to dance and he will be dearly missed by his family and his many good friends. A private interment will take place prior to the service at Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial Mass will be Friday, September 1 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrew. The service will be conducted by Rev. Kevin J. Smith. Honourary pallbearers are Peter Krowina, Martin Krowina, John Krowina, Brad Jestin, Adam Jestin and Michael McNair. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements in care of: Cropo Funeral Home Chapel, 586-8044.

Sehr geehrte Frau Bolbecher, ich bin die Nichte von Luise und Martin Lichtner. Habe einen Brief von Ihnen im Nachlass meines Onkels mit Ihrer Adresse gefunden, deshalb möchte ich Sie informieren. Luise Lichnter ist am 20.11.2009 und Martin Lichtner am 15.6.2012 verstorben. Ich bin die Tochter von Martins Bruder Hans und Ria Lichtner, die ebenfalls beide im Jahr 2010 verstorben sind.
