AGNES BRANDSON December 2, 1923 - September 22, 2006 Peacefully, Emily Agnes Brandson passed away at the Grace Hospice. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Mattias in 1988, son Gilbert, daughter Sandra, parents Oddleifer and Runa Oddleifson, sister Sigurborg, and son-in-law Glenn Poolie. She will be forever missed by her son Milton (Laureen), daughter Susan, daughter-in-law Judy, son-in-law Keith Storey, grandchildren Shawn (Connie), Sheri (Ron), Marc, Timothy, Matthew, Scott, and Brittany, and 5 great-grandchildren, sister Olive Retzlaff, and brother William, sisters-in-law Sigrun Scribner, Huddie Low, and brother-in-law Thor Brandson. Agnes was born in Arborg, MB, where she lived most of her life. After high school she worked at the Bank of Commerce for several years. In 1948, she married Matt and stayed home to raise her children. Later she took a secretarial course at the Arborg Collegiate, and was then hired there as a secretary. Agnes worked at the Collegiate until she chose to retire so she and Matt could become snowbirds. They enjoyed many years wintering in Bonita Springs, Florida. Agnes was an active member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and also the Lutheran Church Ladies Auxiliary. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will especially miss their Amma's delicious home baked treats. We will all miss her pleasant, loving and heart to heart talks. We would like to thank Dr. Hartley and the staff at the Grace Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg, MB.
