HILDA BRAUN Peacefully, on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home, Hilda passed away at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius in 1971, her sister Selma Peters and her grandson Jeffrey Shirritt. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Alvina Shirritt of Abbotsford, BC and Joan (Elton) Wilkinson of Winnipeg, one son Harvey (Chris) Braun of Squamish, BC, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as many relatives and friends. Mom was born in Winkler in 1915, and farmed with her husband in the Plum Coulee area, where they raised their family. They moved to Morden until Dad's passing in 1971, after which she moved to Winnipeg. Mom's faith was well recognized and instilled in her children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the Staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Plum Coulee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., R3L 0K6.
