Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELMA BOYKO October 27, 1931 - December 21, 2006 Peacefully at Deer Lodge Hospital, with her daughter by her side, Elma passed away and ascended to Heaven. She was predeceased by her husband William Boyko; sister-in-law Pearl Regier; brother-in-law John Regier and in-laws, Ann and Peter Boyko. Elma will be sadly missed by her only daughter Jeannie Lempen; son-in-law Murray and her two grandchildren, Breanne and Kyle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elma was born in Star City, SK and grew up on a farm. She moved to Winnipeg in 1959 and married Bill. Elma worked for many years at several different jobs, but spent the last 25 years of her working life at Kelekis restaurant. When she retired, she continued working to take care of her grandchildren. She truly was a second mother to them as she lived with them for more than 10 years. Her strength throughout her life was her love. She loved her family so much and touched their hearts so deeply. Elma enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bingo and playing games with her grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Elma's life will be held Thursday, December 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman, Fr. Isidore Dziadyk, OSBM, presiding.
