Born: Mar 03, 1912
Date of Passing: Dec 23, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUGUSTA BOGGS March 3, 1912 - December 23, 2006 It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Augusta. She has been like a mother, grandmother and friend to all of us at one time or another, always there with a helping hand whenever needed. She has kept our extended family in contact with each other even though we have spread out across the miles. Her independence and tenacity have been an example to us all and served her well throughout her long life. Even during her last year when she was failing considerably and could so easily have let her caregivers take over, she never stopped trying to take care of herself. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Ernestina, and siblings, Edmund, Gottfried, Christoph and Elsie Boggs. She is survived by her siblings, Alvina Hartwig and Otto Boggs, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, all who will forever miss Aunt Gussie and remember her in their hearts. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the former Fort Garry Care Home and the Bethania Personal Care Home for the companionship and care they have given to Gussie this last year. Viewing will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 29 at the Morris Cemetery, Morris, MB where she will be laid to rest with other members of her family. Flowers are gratefully declined; in her memory donations may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S7. Aunt Gussie May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. May the rains fall soft upon your fields. And, until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
