ALBERTA LOUISE BRANTON (nee BLAIKIE) We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear mother Alberta, peacefully on January 11, 2007 at the Golden Links Lodge in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Branton (2004) and cherished mother to David (Joanne) of Winnipeg and Michael (Randy) of Windsor. Dear grandmother to Christie and Fergus. Loving and devoted sister to Verna Townsend of Edmonton and special aunt to Lesley, Gene, Taylor and Andy of Edmonton. Our mother will be fondly remembered by all as the life of every party and despite the ravages of Alzheimer's, she maintained a bright smile and content demeanor to the very end. In keeping with her wishes there will be no service after cremation with a private family function to take place in Windsor later this year. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Maples Senior Home and Golden Links Lodge of Winnipeg for her attentive care throughout this difficult time. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society in hopes of some day developing a cure.
