HILLEL BORODITSKY Hillel Boroditsky embodied a unique combination of wisdom, wit, and compassion for others with an insatiable desire to make the world a better place. With the strength, support and occasional nagging of his loving wife Laura, Hillel was able to overcome all medical challenges but the last, pancreatic cancer. We are grateful his distinguished and dignified life ended with dignity and peace at home in the care of loved ones. Hillel lives on in the memories of Laura, his sons Barry, David and Michael, daughters-in-law Monica and Michelle and granddaughter Rebecca. Memories of Hillel are cherished by a large extended family. A brother to Belva, an uncle to 12, and a great-uncle and great-great-uncle to many (figure it out for yourself). Much of Hillel's adult life was spent in the pursuit of Tikkun Olam, a Jewish belief centred on the desire to help fix the world. To that end, Hillel was involved in both bringing to life and sustaining such organizations as Pollution Probe, The World Wildlife Fund, The Art Gallery of Hamilton and the Waldorf School. In later years Hillel put his beliefs into practice through distinguished service with United Way, and many Jewish Social service agencies in Quebec, Alberta and Ontario. Anyone wishing to help celebrate Hillel's life is welcome to join us between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 in the home of David, Monica and Rebecca, 10924 123 St., Edmonton, AB, 780-435-8992. Now, everyone go about your business.
