Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBURTON WILLIAM BRAY On Friday, April 6, 2007, Burton William Bray passed away at the Baldur Hospital. Burton was born in Baldur, MB on October 30, 1922 where he lived most of his life. He enlisted in the Army Service Corps and served overseas for the duration of the Second World War. He served in Africa, Italy, Holland, Belgium and England. On returning to Baldur, he bought and operated the Baldur Transfer until he retired. After that he spent some years working for the Co-op. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Rachel (nee Catteeuw) in 1989, his parents, William and Ethel Bray. He leaves to mourn his death, his daughters, Wendy (Dennis Richards) of Clear Lake, MB, Linda Bray of Winnipeg, Julie (Barry Desrochers) of Winnipeg; his grandchildren, Hannah, Patrick (Kristin) and Kayla; his great-grandchildren, Nicholas and William and by his sister Kay Campbell of Teulon, MB. He was a member of the Baldur Legion. Burton enjoyed his friends at Baldur. He curled for many years and took part in Belgian Bowling. He loved fishing summer and winter. Trap shooting was his sport for a few years and he was an excellent marksman. We will all miss him greatly. A private family graveside service was held on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Baldur Cemetery. If friends so desire, memoriams may be made in Burton's memory to the Baldur Hospital-Baldur Palliative Care Unit, Box 128, Baldur, MB R0K 0B0. Jamieson Funeral Service of Baldur-Glenboro were in care of arrangements.
