CORNELIUS K. BRAUN 1931 - 2007 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father, and grandfather, on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 76 years. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Erica, sons, Clinton and Darcy, and daughter Cyndy (Len) and grandchildren, Hayden, Bailey and Erin. Left to cherish his memory are 11 sisters and one brother, and their families. He was predeceased by his parents and one brother. Neil was born on April 4, 1931 to John and Anna Braun in Grunthal, MB. He spent his early years at various jobs until he settled into the floorcovering industry in 1960 at Eaton's. His career led him to be very highly respected and well known. He subcontracted installation to various floorcovering stores in Winnipeg until he opened his own showroom in Charleswood with his sons in 1987. Neil enjoyed gospel music festivals, spending time with his family, and especially his grandchildren. He had an easy going character and many people enjoyed his sense of humour. Neil accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age, and was later baptized and became a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in 1964. For the last 10 years, he had been attending Calvary Temple. We wish to thank the fifth floor and ICU nurses at the Victoria General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB, on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
