Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTONY BOSKO It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of Tony, our beloved husband, father, brother and one and only Gee Gee' at the Riverview Health Centre on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the age of 73 years. Remaining to forever cherish Tony's memory are his wife of 52 years, Florence (Zabowski); daughters, Gail Perich and Darlene Klause (James); grandchildren, Darryl (Jen/Brianna) Klause and Justin (Charity/Noah) Klause, Wesley and Kristen Perich; brothers, Andy (Julia), Walter (Grace), Ed (Thelma), Clarence (Agnes), Fred (Joan), Tom (Juanita); sister Mary Manson (Dave); sisters-in-law, Frances Botchar, Wilma Zabowski and Estelle Lameroux; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Annie Bosko; and his brother Joseph. Tony was born on April 21, 1934 in East Selkirk, MB. He met Florence in May, 1954 and they were married in September of that year. They moved to Transcona in 1955 to raise a family. He worked as a Shipper/Receiver for Canada Packers (Maple Leaf Foods) for 43 years. Tony literally brought home the bacon for his family. He loved his family unconditionally and lived life to the fullest. To say Tony was a kind and giving man is an understatement, as he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed help. He took great pride in his home, his work, and especially his family . Tony was very passionate about his church, fishing, playing cards, camping, gardening, getaways to Pinawa, MB, and most of all his family and his many friends. Tony also enjoyed travelling, whether it was a weekend fishing trip to Lake Wanipigow, vacationing in Hawaii, or a three month stint to his beloved spot in Weslaco, TX. Tony always had a big smile on his face. Throughout his battle with cancer, Tony showed great resiliency, courage, and dignity. He was a pillar of strength in spite of the enormity of his own struggle with cancer. An exceptional husband, father, brother, friend and Gee Gee , he will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love him. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7 at 1:00 p.m. in the Buntain Chapel in the Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street, with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all his family and friends for their genuine care and compassion during this difficult time, (especially Orville Denhard and Jim Klause for being there when needed). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tony's memory to the charity of one's choice.
