JOHN BRASSEUR We deeply regret to announce the passing of our Papa, John Brasseur on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Dania Care Home in Burnaby, BC. After a brave struggle with cancer, Dad has left us at the age of 71 to join his dear wife, our Mom, our Grandma, Helen Brasseur who predeceased Papa in June 1990. Dad had resided in Burnaby since November 1990, formerly residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was born and grew up in Carrick, Manitoba (Piney Municipal) on December 31, 1935 to his parents Bessie and Louis Brasseur (both predeceased). He will be sadly missed by his son, Ronnie Brasseur (Catherine) and granddaughter Rondi and his daughter, Donna Brasseur (Leroy) and grandchildren, Damon and Hailey. Also to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Emily (Pete) Friesen, Rosie (Allan) Kubas and his brother Julius (Anne) Brasseur, along with his step-sister Marie - predeceased Marion and step-brothers Louis - predeceased (Maggie), Joe predeceased, Freddie - predeceased (Grace), Marcel - predeceased (Verna), Willy - predeceased, and Harry (Emma). As well as his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sophie and Henry Rentz - both predeceased and sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Mike) - predeceased Kuzina and Linda (Alan) Alquire along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends. Dad's strength and pleasant nature will be cherished and remembered forever. God bless you Dad. Say hi to mom for us. In lieu of flowers, please offer a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society BC Division or Manitoba Division in John's name. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, St. Vital Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway, Friday, June 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.
