MINNIE BORYS On the morning of July 5, 2007, Minnie peacefully passed away after enjoying a full active life for most of her 90 years. Minnie was born in 1917 in Winnipeg and lived her entire life in the city. She was educated at St. Mary's Academy and the University of Manitoba. Minnie always put energy, enthusiasm and faith to good use, allowing her to lead an independent lifestyle. She drove a car until she was 87 years old, and maintained a home with a garden and pet until she was in her 88th year. Minnie's kindness, generosity and commitment gained her many lifelong friends as she was active in a variety of organizations, but centred mainly on her religious belief through St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, her local community club, and various senior's organizations. Minnie was predeceased by her husband Tony in 1972, and leaves family in Winnipeg and California to cherish her optimism and wisdom. We would like to offer our very special thanks to the caregivers at the Lions Personal Care Centre for providing an outstanding level of care, understanding, comfort, and friendship. Minnie has been interred at Holy Family Cemetery along side her husband, in a private family service presided by Father Zachary Shwaluk, OSBM. An ascension service to celebrate Minnie's life is planned for the future. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
