JAMES ALBERT BOWMAN July 23, 1926 - July 25, 2007 On July 25, 2007, after a long hard struggle with Alzheimers, James Bowman, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 81 years. Jim leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his loving wife of 52 years, Dolores; children, Patti, Debbie Chouinard (Mitch), Bob; grandchildren, Michelle Berard (Phil), Adam Chouinard (Christine), Jamie and Shannon Bowman; also three great-grandchildren, Aimsley, Eric and Braydon. He is also survived by his brothers, Burt (Jeannie) Bowman, Dave (Annette) Bowman; sister-in-law Val Bowman; and brother-in-law Larry Smith. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Muriel; brother George; sister Mary Frances Smith; and son Andy. Jim had been employed at Fleming Pedlar for 24 years, retiring from the Manitoba Telephone System. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be missed by all who loved him. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Riverview Health Centre, 1AW, for the care and compassion extended to Jim over the years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, with Rev. Carol Fletcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Riverview Health Centre or to CancerCare Manitoba.
