RODOLPHE (RUDY) BOURRIER August 2, 1933 August 1, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Grandpere, surrounded by his family on August 1, 2007 at the age of 73. He will be sadly missed by his wife Doris; children Linda Perrin (Gilbert), Rene (Yvette), Elaine Ferguson (Shane), Monique Ferguson of Calgary and Jeannette St. Hilaire (Norman); grandchildren, Miguel, Christine, Joel, Cory, Chantalle, Meagan, Shanna, Devin, Daniel and Shanelle. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Theresa Clement (Denis), Yvonne Boulet, Carmel LaPlante-Cross (Gordon) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Aurel, Jean and Romain, his sisters Lucille Boulet and Odile Elhatton and son-in-law, Lance. Dad was born in St. Lupicin, MB and later moved to Winnipeg where he worked as a furrier for a number of years. He then worked with the University of Winnipeg until his retirement. Dad loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his family. He also enjoyed outings with his siblings at the Assiniboia Downs and the weekend gatherings playing cards. He took great pride in being one of Lorette's Scout Masters throughout the 1960s. His main objective was to guide the young boy scouts on a path of respecting and appreciating nature and all that God has given us. He was also an avid hockey fan, in particular of the Montreal Canadiens. We have many fond memories of Dad, in particular his regular Sunday dinner preparations while singing his favourite songs. The family would like to offer thanks to the staff at Taché Centre 4 ABC, for the care and compassion they provided Dad, especially in his final days with us. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7th at the Holy Family Parish Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald Street, with Father Ron Léger, C. S.V. presiding. A private inurnment of the cremated remains will take place the following day at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.glenlawn.ca Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 455 LAGIMODIERE BLVD. 982-7550
