HELEN M. BOWLER Peacefully, on Friday August 3, 2007 Helen Bowler passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1983; brothers, Bill and Alex and her sister Jean Greenwood. Her memory will be forever cherished by her sons, Alistair (Ruth); Ian (Joanne); grandchildren, Raymond (Chika), Graham, Richard, Carla, Daniel (Rachel), Michael (Andrea); great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Hanna, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Helen came to Canada at the age of 10 settling with her family in Crystal City. She met and married Bill in 1936 and together they raised their family living in Winnipeg and Stonewall. They lived and worked on their farm in Stonewall, where she did numerous outside activities including gardening, carpentry and painting. After leaving the farm and moving back to Winnipeg she continued her hobbies including paper tole and folk art painting. One thing her grandchildren will remember is that Granny always had popsicles available. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society193 Sherbrook St. R3C 2B7.
