LOUISA BORMANN Louisa's bold journey with cancer came to a dignified and peaceful end on Friday, August 10, 2007. She is survived by Guenter her loving husband of 49 years and her beloved children, Jacqui (James), Paul (Suzanne), Ingrid (Paul) as well as grandchildren; Dustin, Maxwell, Sabrina, Reece, Erika, Spencer, Taylor and Quin. Also survived by five sisters and three brothers. Louisa was born in Ede, Holland, and as a young adult pioneered the way for her family to Canada in 1953. She spent many years in the field of Early Childhood Education and co-founded the first Winnipeg Montessori School. She was an active volunteer in the community with, the Prairie Performances Man. Inc. Winnipeg Symphony Ladies Auxiliary, Assiniboine South School Division and others. She touched the heart and souls of many. Her outgoing personality will always be remembered by those whose lives she was a part of. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care Manitoba, Riverview Center and the Grace Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Opening Doors Fund of Charleswood United Church. Interment will take place at St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday August, 14, with a memorial service to celebrate Louisa's life following at Charleswood United Church (Roblin Blvd and Dieppe Rd) at 1:00 p.m. Dearest Louisa, Mom, Oma; May the blessings of heaven bring you everlasting peace ...
