RALPH BORLEY After a long and healthy life, Ralph passed away Friday, August 17, 2007. Ralph was born in Lemberg, Saskatchewan on November 12, 1916. His family moved to Manitou, Manitoba during his early years and after losing his mother to tuberculosis the family moved to Winnipeg where Ralph received his education. In the early 1930s, Ralph moved to Fannystelle, Manitoba to farm, along with his uncle, Ralph Borley Sr. Ralph served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 5 years during the Second World War as an Officer. On June 22, 1963 he married Mary Schellenberg. Ralph and Mary retired from farming in the late 70s and enjoyed almost 30 years of retirement together in good health. They traveled, camped and spent many winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Ralph was a gracious gentleman, enjoyed visiting with people and was well liked by all that met him. Ralph will be missed but fondly remembered by his beloved wife and soul mate Mary, his daughter Brenda; son-in-law Greg, and precious granddaughters, Hayley and Mia. Also by sisters-in-law Oddney, Hilda (Tony), Helen, brother-in-law Larry (and Sue), many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Mildred Maskell and Charles Borley, his brothers, John and Bill, brothers-in-law Abe and John, and his grandmother who raised him and taught him many life lessons. A service will be held at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue on Tuesday, August 21 at 3:00 p.m. For those who so desire, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
