ANTONIA (SONIA) FAJARDO BONAOBRA January 15, 1945 - November 21, 2007 Peacefully, with family by her side, Antonia Sonia Fajardo Bonaobra, passed away at St. Boniface General Hospital on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Sonia was born January 15, 1945 in Tanauan Batangas, Philippines. She came to Winnipeg in 1972 and became the foundation of the now 100 plus family members. She was predeceased by her parents, Natalio and Maria Fajardo; sisters Divina and Consuelo; brother Guillermo and her daughter, Kathleen Mae. Sonia will be sadly missed by Ray, her devoted husband of 31 years; her two daughters, Sheila (Ed) and Grace (Geoff); her three grandchildren, Rayan, Renna and Jerielle; sisters, Choleng (Carding) and Pina (Roman); her brothers, Catalino and Juan Fajardo of Philippines; sisters-in-law, Nita (Victor) and Vicky (Boy) and all their children and grandchildren of Winnipeg; and brother-in-law, Ted (Josie) and their children of Philippines. Sonia will also be remembered by her extended family and close friends. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and support staff of E5 Ward at St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and support. Thank you is not enough to express our sincere appreciation for making our wife/mother/grandmother's stay as comfortable as possible. Lamay will be held on Thursday, November 29 and Friday, November 30 from 6:00 p.m. - 12:00 Midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary's Road, on Saturday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
