DENISE LOUISE MARIE BOULET (nee DELAQUIS) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Denise Louise Marie Boulet, nee Delaquis, on Friday, November 23, 2007, at the age of 52 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Denise will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 33 years, Luc; and her children, Wesley (Carla) and Brigitte; her grandchild Elise; her mother Antoinette Delaquis; her brothers and sisters, Alfred, Rose-Marie (Claude) Robidoux, Jeannine (Kelly) Smith, Yves, Roger (Audrey); her nephews and nieces, Nathan, Stephanie, Darcy (Jolene), Ryan (Sylvie), Eric, Janelle, Richard and Cedrik; and numerous in-laws, cousins and friends. Denise was predeceased by her father, Ernest Delaquis, in May of 2007. Denise was born and raised in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on April 21, 1955. Denise loved to be surrounded by people and spent much of her life helping out others, whether it was home care, or working with the handicapped at Somerset Villa. She was also a volunteer firewoman. She loved camping, music (she played the organ and accordion), enjoyed her flowers, and especially her Siamese cats. She had a great sense of humour and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre as well as the Manitoba Health Authority Home Care for the care and compassion they gave to Denise. A memorial mass celebrating Denise's life will be held on Friday, November 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Denise may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
