VIOLET BRANDT It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Violet Brandt on December 22, 2007 at the Tuelon Hospital. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Eddie; her children, Jerry and Linda Brandt, Jerlene Brandt, Don and Dorcas Brandt, Ken and Audrey Brandt, John and Debbie Dueck, Mark and Jan Brandt, James Brandt, Jon and Tina Brandt, Leon and Becky Plett; 37 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Violet was predeceased by her parents, David and Elizabeth Eidse, and is survived by seven siblings out of 19. Violet was born in Rosenort, Manitoba on July 30, 1932. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior at the age of 18 and remained a faithful follower of Him unto the end. At the age of 20 she married the love of her life, Eddie Brandt and they enjoyed a precious married life for over 55 years. Her favorite Bible verse was John 14:27, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid . She rested in the promises of that verse, even in time of sickness and suffering. She was a caring and loving wife and mother. We miss her so, but look forward to seeing her in heaven. We appreciate the compassion and care she received from the doctors and nurses during her hospital stays. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rosenort E.M.C. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Morweena Evangelical Mennonite Church. Lunch will be served after the burial.
