COLIN MOSES WOODBECK It is with great sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Moses Woodbeck on January 25, 2008 at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 90. Colin was predeceased by his mother and father Manfred and Emma Louise Woodbeck and by his 10 brothers and sisters. Remaining to cherish Colin's memory is his wife of 65 years Nellie Woodbeck (nee Bembridge). Colin also leaves behind his sister-in-law, brother-in-law, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and numerous friends. Colin was born August 22, 1917 in Thunder Bay, ON, the youngest of 11 children. He enlisted into the Army in March 1942 where he belonged to the Midland Regiment. He served all across Canada and England and was discharged in March 1946. His final rank was Lance Corporal. Colin also worked at the Stony Mountain Penitentiary where he retired in 1982. He enjoyed playing the fiddle. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Funeral Home.
