RALPH KNOX BOWLER Peacefully, with wife Alice, niece Joyce and Danny Maxwell, and special friends Don and Linda Stewart by his side, Ralph passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, two weeks shy of his 94th birthday at Swan Lake Memorial Hospital. Ralph was born June 14, 1914 on the Bowler family farm in the District of Kaleida, to John and Annie (Knox) Bowler. On December 7, 1940, he married Alice Blair. Their life was blessed with two sons, Ralph Wayne, born December 29, 1942 and Ronald Lyle, born October 20, 1946. During Ralph's lifetime, one of his biggest interests was his work as a meticulous mechanic. In 1952, he made a move to Winnipeg, where he took a position working for Penner Dodge (Pembina Dodge Chrysler). Here, over the years, he received many awards from Chrysler Canada for his special knowledge. He was highly regarded by his fellow workers and customers. Ralph leaves to cherish his memory his wife Alice, of 67 years, his sisters-in-law - Hazel Bowler, Portage la Prairie, and Vicki Blair, Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews. His son Lyle (1968) and son Wayne (1972), his parents, four brothers and one sister, predeceased him. A private ash interment was held at the Manitou Cemetery. Rev. Alvin Jacobs officiating, his nephew Bob Bowler acted as urn bearer. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Graham's Funeral Service of Manitou in care of arrangements.
