Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED F. BORGFJORD September 16, 1942 - August 27, 2008 It is with great sorrow that the family of Fred announces his tragic and accidental passing. Fred was predeceased by his soul mate Mary-Joyce Tessier (2000) and by his parents Bjorg (2005) and Arni (1965). Left to grieve are his siblings Brent (Karen), Edward (Joanne), Phyllis (Norman Hurdal), Nony (Dave Bell), Arlene (Ken Munnoch), plus many nieces and nephews. Fred was born and raised on the farm Gilhaga and has stayed there his entire life. While always a farmer, he had also worked at the Arborg Creamery as an engineer until its closing. He also spent a few winters up north on the diamond drills and clearing bush. Fred was a 4H club member, leader and project judge for the Arborg Dairy Calf Club. For the past 20 years, Fred has enjoyed seeing the farm business increase alongside his younger brother Brent. Fred was a true friend and neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He will be greatly missed by not only his family but his close friends that spent many hours around his kitchen table. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arborg Community Hall with Pastor Bruce Zinken officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's name to Manitoba Farmers with Disabilities, Box 367 Elmcreek, MB R0G 0N0 (204) 436-3181 or Arborg Lutheran Church.
