Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBLANDINA BOYCHUK Peacefully on September 7, 2008 with her family at her side, Blandina Plum Boychuk, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 60. Blandina will be deeply missed by her husband of 39 years Rick Boychuk, her sons Todd (Cheryl), Craig (Janalee), her daughter and best friend Jill, grandchildren Paige, Evan, Rohan, Cairis, and sisters Elke (Don) Turriff, Marge (Warren), brother Peter (Magie) Koopmans, as well as numerous extended family and her dear friends, Murray and Linda, Rob and Sue, Chris and Derek, and her dog Oden. Blandina was born on July 21, 1948 in Winnipeg to her predeceased parents Henry and Anna Koopmans. She was a devoted wife, nurturing and loving mother to her three children and cherished her four grandchildren more than anything in the world. She was a free spirit, someone always young at heart who loved music, Sunday family dinners and the outdoors, including the lake with friends and family, and the west coast mountains. She worked as a public servant for Revenue Canada over 25 years and truly enjoyed her work and co-workers many of whom she called friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 12, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). The family on behalf of Blandina and themselves, would also like to express thanks to the nurses and doctors at the St. Boniface Hospital Kidney Dialysis Unit.
