Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS MARY BOITTIAUX September 27, 2002 Dearest Doree On a recent trip down memory lane, this little gem came to mind. In the mid 1970's when I was one of many of your suitors, what was I to do to pull away from the pack. Then it dawned on me some Ladies like a certain perfume???, but nearly all like roses; from then on I sent you a dozen roses of assorted colors every week. Once the love bug moved in they all became red. Now this worked, it got rid of all but one, your steady old beau, he was a die hard. Lady luck came to my rescue. I had connections in the floral world, and the opportunity to buy a full shipment that had been slightly touched by frost. The damage was minimal, so that day I personally delivered 30 dozen roses to your door. That evening the gent in question dropped by to visit you. On seeing roses all over your pad, he threw his hands in the air and said I can't compete with this. I had won! And what a prize you were. Thanks for sharing a third of your life with me. It's been six long years since, and I still miss you terribly. John Boy.
