JANET SHIRLEY MONTEITH (nee STALLARD) Born in Winnipeg, Shirley passed away peacefully in Ottawa after a brief illness, on Friday, January 9, 2009, with her loving family by her side. Dear daughter of the late Bert and Betty Stallard. Beloved wife of Jock (John) for 54 years. Loving mother of Marion Hume (Jeff), Ann Shirley and the late infant John Edward. Dear cousin of John Stallard Wood of Texas, Jackie and Janie Paton of Scotland. Sadly missed by Martha Halwachs (Craig) and family of Winnipeg, Tim Bowman of Pennsylvania, Jan and Bud Gorrell and family of Ottawa; lifelong friends, Marion McKinley of Winnipeg, Betty Carroll (Bob) and family of Ottawa, and many other lives that she touched. The family wishes to thank her family doctor, Dr. A. Sati, the paramedics, Ghislain Bercier and Guy Beauchemin, and the staff of the Montfort Hospital, specifically Dr. T. Keays and Dr. M. Mulligan, nurses, Nathalie and Manon of ICU, and all of the staff of the emergency and ICU who provided care for her. A Service in Memory of Shirley will be held at the Kelly Funeral Home Chapel, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd. (Orleans) Thursday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Montfort Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice appreciated.
