Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID BRADLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Bradley on February 20th, 2009 at the age of 64. Dad was born in Bolton, England on May 21st, 1944. Dad loved his bike and spent much of his youth cycling around England with his friends. In 1967 David married his sweetheart Renee and immigrated to Canada where they settled in Birds Hill, Winnipeg. Originally trained as a draftsman David worked first at the CNR and later as a machinist at the Manitoba Cancer Foundation. When he moved to Victoria he worked at the Victoria Cancer Center. He also worked at the Goldstream Ubrew with his friend Terry and had good laughs and great times. He made countless friends and fond memories at all of these places. In 2006 he retired to build a house in Kelowna. David loved to work with his hands. He was skilled at designing and building and used his creativity when solving a problem. He especially loved the outdoors and could often be found outside cheerfully tackling whatever chore needed to be done without complaint. Dad's last year was made special by the wonderful neighbours, family and friends who gave generously of their help and love. He was a wonderful father and a loving husband. He was greatly respected for his kindness, generosity and friendship and will be missed by all that knew him. David will be terribly missed by his wife Renee, his children Andrew (Caillin) and Gillian (Darren), granddaughters Gracie and Gabrielle. In England, sister Irene and brother-in-law Michael, nephews Martin (Debbie), Adrian, David (Nicola), niece Katy, brother-in-law John (Sylvia), nephew Richard (Ruth), Sam, Lily and Jack, niece Elizabeth (Pete) and mother-in-law Bessie Hall. The list of friends is too numerous to mention but please know that all of you are special. The family would like to send a heartfelt thanks to Rita and Terry and the staff of Victoria Hospice care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the World Wildlife Fund would be greatly appreciated. At Dads request, no funeral service will be held. A tea to celebrate Dad's life will take place Wednesday, February 25th at First Memorial Funeral Services at 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All friends and family are welcome. Thanks for the memories, we love you always.

I will never forget your hubby David. I know my mom thought the world of him. If mum would have been here right now, she'd be right by your side Renee, or at the least on the phone with you for hours! Both mum and Dave passed away on the same day..February 20th. This is something special for you to hold close to your heart. Take care Renee...love Abby, Rick and family. - Posted by: Abby and Rick Sierhuis (Friend) on: Feb 25, 2009
