Born: Oct 20, 1936
Date of Passing: Mar 06, 2009
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA (PAT) DIANE BORYNSKY (nee DAVIES) October 20, 1936 - March 6, 2009 After a brief illness, a valiant fight and with her daughters by her side, Mom let us know that she was tired, at peace, ready to be with Dad and will always watch over us. Mom would want those who love and care for her to celebrate her life, laugh at the memories and not mourn her passing. Missing her beyond words are her children, Steve (Cal), Lynn (Ross), Judy and Kathy (Don). Her true joys in her life, her grandchildren, Dayna, Ryley, Paul, Jesse, Leanne, Michael, Justin, Ben, Josh and great-grandson Cayden, (Miss you Granny). No matter what, she was so proud of us all! Her sisters, Dot (Doug), Lorraine, Val, Claire (Don) and Joan. Her special Lowey kids, so far away, yet always close to her heart. Numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Her best friend and coffee buddy, Grace. Mom is now with Dad who left us September 15, 1981; her parents, Andy and Lil Davies, her four-legged kids, family and friends who passed before her. Mom faced everything with determination, courage, strength and a belief in all things good in life. Mom had a big heart, always helping others, from those she cared for when she worked at Oakview, to those that needed a place to sleep or an ear to listen to. Mom was a very spiritual woman who always believed in the goodness of people and never gave up on anyone. Mom had a wonderful sense of humour and an infectious laugh, she could always laugh at herself and she never lost that. Mom had a passion for all kinds of music but always relished in her meeting Johnny Cash in person at his Winnipeg concert with Dad. (Dad was a little jealous!) Mom loved to travel. She enjoyed her many family camping trips, cottaging at Grand Beach, Grand Forks weekends and road trips across Canada. Mom's favourite trips were the mountains in the Yukon, and Alberta with family, her Caribbean cruise with friends and her many visits to Kelowna to see her big sis, Dot. Mom and Dad loved to go to Bomber games together. Dad always made sure to sit to Mom's left, as Mom tended to get very excited when the Bombers had the ball! Mom continued to watch her beloved Bombers after Dad's passing and fell in love with Milt. Thank you to all the St. B. health care professionals that cared for and came in contact with Mom. A heartfelt thank you to Kelly in ICU. At Mom's request, a private family memorial and celebration of her life will take place at a later date. In keeping with Mom's enduring need to help others and her love of all animals, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Humane Society, Winnipeg's No Kill Animal Shelter or Darcy's ARC. Thanks for everything you gave us Mom. Love you lots! The Master of Life's been good to me. He has given me strength to face past illnesses, and victory in the face of defeat. He has given me life and joy where others saw oblivion. He has given new purpose to live for, new services to render and old wounds to heal. Life and love go on, let the music play. - Johnny Cash When family ties are broken and a loved one has to part, It leaves a wound that never heals and many broken hearts. But looking back with Memories upon the path you trod, We bless the years we spent with you and leave the rest to God. - Pat Borynsky
