ANGELA STOPCHYCKI (nee GOLOVITCH) July 24, 1934 - March 16, 2009 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing away of Angela Peggy Stopchycki on March 16, 2009. At the age of 74 years Angie passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Her battle with cancer, which began December 18, 2008 could not be won in spite of all the efforts put forth. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Rennie of 55 years and brother Ron Golovitch of Winnipeg, MB. Angie and Rennie were blessed with five children, daughter Janice Graumann and husband Cory of Kelowna, BC; daughter Judith Henriksen and husband Gary of Winnipeg, MB; daughter Sandra Backstrom and husband Bill of Lake Country, BC; son Jerry and Donna of Winnipeg, MB; daughter Sue Paziuk and husband Rob of Kelowna, BC; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Angie was deeply devoted to her family and had a passion for life. Among her favorite activities were camping, fishing, reading and knitting. Angie enriched many lives through her kindness, happy spirit and funny sense of humor. She gave generously of her time as a volunteer at Lake Country Manor. Angie was born in Winnipeg, MB where in her youth she attended grade school at Norquay School, King Edward Middle School and graduated from Isaac Newton High School. She then worked as a dental assistant until her marriage and children were born. Besides living in Winnipeg, MB her and Rennie lived at Winnipeg Beach, MB for seven years before moving to Kelowna, BC in 1998. A celebration of Angie's life was held March 21, 2009 Winfield, BC.
