Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARTHUR (ART) BOHN It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Bohn on Sunday May 10, 2009 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB Dad was born on May 2, 1925 at the family farm in Bienfait, SK. He worked the farm with his father and brothers and would later join the Army in 1945. Art had worked various jobs over the years, but the ones he enjoyed the most were operating the Snack Bar/Pool Hall in Moosehorn and managing the Army and Navy Legion in Elie. These jobs were suited for Dad as he loved to socialize with people of any age or gender. Dad was known for his sense of humour and quick wit which would put a smile on any face. After Dad retired to Ashern he would spend his time gardening, fishing, playing cards, taking the women on shopping trips and helping out with the Legion Bingo nights. He still enjoyed having company and would always have a cool one waiting for you. Dad was predeceased by his parents Adolph Bohn and Bertha (Bauch); brothers August, Richard, Otto, Ekbert, Eric, Reinard, Herbert and Hinney; sisters Gertrude and Linda. He is survived by his wife Violet (Fenning); daughters Darrel (Gordon) Kitchur and Pamela (Stephan) Weseljak; grandsons Kevin Kitchur and Alexander Weseljak; his sisters Inez, Nata, and Elsie as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws. In accordance with Art's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family burial will take place at a later date. The family gratefully acknowledges all the hospital Doctors, nurses and staff for their loving and expert care they gave Dad. We also want to thank family and friends who travelled from far and near for your visits and support. Donations in memory of Arthur may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild c/o Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern M.B, ROC OEO. We knew we could not keep you forever, but we will love you forever.
