GARY CONRAD BRANDON Gary lost his short, courageous battle with cancer on June 18, 2009 at the age of 61 years. Left to cherish his memory forever is wife Bonnie, son Skye (Kristi) and grandaughter Pyper; daughter Bobbi (Laura); mother Evelyn, sister Carol (Woody) Stubbs, Jodee (Kelly), Shawna and Sydney Rempel, Jason (Barb), Carter Stubbs; father and mother in-law Alec and Shirley Low; brother-in-law Ron (Linda), A.J. and Taylor Low; sister-in-law Marlene Low, Chris (Tanis), Tiana and Brady Low; Jon (Natalie), Luke Low; sister-in-law Deb DeCorby, Murray (Stevee), Jill (Clint), Ricky DeCorby. Gary was predeceased by father Norman and brother-in-law Jack Low. Born in Prince Albert, SK on August 3, 1947 life became an adventure for Gary. He was raised on a family farm and later joined his parents to work in a family grocery store in Prince Albert. His keen interest in sports determined much of his chosen path: Baseball -scholarship Wenatchee Washington; national championships; Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame inductee; Curling - Provincial and National competitions in mixed, men's, and seniors; Golf - CPGA Professional, 18 years at Melfort Golf and Country Club, Melfort, SK; Executive Course Mark's Nine Golf and Country Club designed by Gary; seven years at Dauphin Lake Golf Club, Dauphin, MB. These competitive sports and employment placements have cultured friendships across communities and provinces and led to a 34 year marriage to his best friend, Bonnie. The greatest source of pride were the accomplishments of his children. Skye's play or Bobbi's golf tournament became an ultimate holiday for Gary. The latest addition to our family, granddaughter Pyper brought joy to Grandpa's heart right to the end. We will miss him and cherish our memories. Thank you to family and friends for the support and acts of kindness as we traveled this final journey with Gary. Our comfort is knowing that he is now at rest. In lieu of flowers family requests donations made to Chemotherapy Department or Palliative Care at Dauphin Regional Hospital. Gary's family would like to extend an invitation to share in a celebration of his life at the Dauphin Lake Golf Club on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Bring golf clubs and share memories over a bubbly. Golf course will be closed in Gary's honour on that day. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services (204) 638-4110, www.sneathstrilchuk.com
