BERNICE BODNER (nee CHERNECKI) Bernice passed away peacefully on June 25, 2009. Bernice was born June 9, 1913 in Sarto, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1974, by her brothers Louie, Frank, Michael, Walter and her sister Stella. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, Lillian, her grandchildren Darryl (Darlene) Chubak, Sherryl Bardsnes, (Jim) and great-grandchildren Kacey, Drayson and Dreanne. Surviving is her brother Peter (Emily) Chernecki, also many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg. She moved from Winnipeg to Vancouver in 1994. She belonged to St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Vancouver and was a member of the church ladies auxiliary for many years. She loved going to the casino and dancing. Internment will be in Winnipeg at a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg, in her name. We celebrate her life. May you keep on dancing, Mom.
