Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES COUTU (CHARLIE) March 28, 1949 - August 13, 2009 It is with great sadness that we, his family, announce his peaceful passing in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the age of 60 years. He leaves to reflect his legacy his son Daniel (Susie) Coutu, his daughter Cherie (Brad) Christman, the joy and love of his life his three granddaughters, Alyssa, Taylor, Lana and a grandson on the way, and stepson Daryl Belcourt. He also leaves to mourn his siblings, Alvina (Edgar), Bernice (Ed), Elaine (Nelson), Freda (Roland), Gerald (Collette), Hazel (Lloyd), Isabelle (Gordon), his Uncle Ray (Delores) Coutu, Aunt Adrienne Combot, numerous cousins and friends, and of course his nieces and nephews whom he loved in his own teasing and joking way. Charlie was predeceased by his parents Benedict and Lillian Coutu, and his brother Don Coutu and best friend Jerry Blais. He started his career early in his life in the construction field and then as a Crane Operator, working all across Canada. He was recognized numerous times during his career. Charlie's greatest joy and blessing in his life was his children and his grandchildren. Although, he loved living in his family's home in St. Laurent, his thoughts were always with his kids and grandkids in Edmonton, which eventually led him to relocate to Edmonton. Funeral services will take place in Edmonton. Memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Laurent, Manitoba.
